Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘china: thuốc tống hơi’, ‘elsewhere: thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc lợi tiểu, cầm máu, tạo máu’, ’germany*: thuốc lợi tiểu’, ‘panama: chất khử trùng’, ‘turkey: chất khử trùng, chất làm se, thuốc tống hơi, thuốc lợi tiểu, cầm máu’, ‘us: chất độc’, ‘us(flathead): thuốc lợi tiểu’, ‘ain: thuốc lợi tiểu’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 123 hoạt chất thuộc về 15 nhóm gồm benzene and substituted derivatives, benzofurans, carboxylic acids and derivatives, cinnamic acids and derivatives, fatty acyls, flavonoids, indanes, organic phosphoric acids and derivatives, organooxygen compounds, phenols, prenol lipids, pyridines and derivatives, pyrrolidines, steroids and steroid derivatives, tetrapyrroles and derivatives.
