Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘elsewhere: thuốc an thần’, ‘iraq: mỹ phẩm, nước hoa’, ‘panama: thuốc tống hơi, lo lắng, thuốc diệt virus, tiêu hóa’, ‘turkey: tiêu hóa, lo lắng, sternutatory, có mùi hôi, thuốc bổ, chất khử trùng, thuốc tống hơi, emmenagogue, thuốc an thần, dạ dày, chất kích thích’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 140 hoạt chất thuộc về 12 nhóm gồm benzene and substituted derivatives, benzodioxoles, cinnamic acids and derivatives, fatty acyls, flavonoids, lactones, organooxygen compounds, phenylpropanoic acids, prenol lipids, saturated hydrocarbons, steroids and steroid derivatives, unsaturated hydrocarbons.
