Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘elsewhere: thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc tẩy giun’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 75 hoạt chất thuộc về 14 nhóm gồm , aporphines, benzazepines, benzene and substituted derivatives, benzofurans, erythrina alkaloids, isoquinolines and derivatives, organooxygen compounds, phenanthrenes and derivatives, phenol ethers, phthalide isoquinolines, prenol lipids, proaporphines, protoberberine alkaloids and derivatives.
