Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘french: thuốc long đờm’, ‘german: rubefacient’, ‘italian: chất khử trùng’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 34 hoạt chất thuộc về 7 nhóm gồm benzene and substituted derivatives, fatty acyls, flavonoids, organic phosphoric acids and derivatives, phenol ethers, prenol lipids, stilbenes.
