Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘elsewhere: chất kích thích, thuốc tống hơi’, ‘malaysia: tiêu hóa, thuốc bổ’, ‘tjabea alas: đổ mồ hôi’, ‘tjabean: thuốc kích thích tình dục’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 86 hoạt chất thuộc về 15 nhóm gồm , benzene and substituted derivatives, benzodioxoles, carboximidic acids and derivatives, cinnamic acids and derivatives, fatty acyls, furanoid lignans, organooxygen compounds, phenol ethers, phenols, phenylpropanoic acids, piperidines, prenol lipids, saccharolipids, steroids and steroid derivatives.
