Loài Anagallis arvensis thuộc họ Primulaceae phân bố tại một số vùng trên thế giới như Germany, France, Switzerland, Albania, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, United States of America, Croatia, Malta, Italy, Slovenia, New Zealand, Greece, Austria, Ireland, Cyprus. Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘elsewhere: đổ mồ hôi, thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc diệt cá’, ‘india: thuốc diệt nấm, thuốc trừ sâu, thuốc diệt tuyến trùng, thuốc diệt cá, chất độc’, ‘iraq: thuốc diệt chó, thuốc diệt cá, chất độc, thuốc diệt côn trùng’, ‘turkey: thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc long đờm, lo lắng, chất độc, có mùi hôi’, ‘uk: thuốc giải độc’, ‘us: chất độc’, ‘ain: thuốc long đờm’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 79 hoạt chất thuộc về 6 nhóm gồm fatty acyls, flavonoids, organooxygen compounds, prenol lipids, saturated hydrocarbons, steroids and steroid derivatives.
