Dược liệu đã được sử dụng ở một số vùng lãnh thổ để điều trị một số chứng và bệnh tại như ‘europe: có mùi hôi’, ‘turkey: lo lắng, thuốc an thần, thuốc lợi tiểu, thuốc long đờm, có mùi hôi’.Từ loài này đã phân lập và xác định được 50 hoạt chất thuộc về 5 nhóm gồm , benzene and substituted derivatives, flavonoids, organooxygen compounds, prenol lipids.
